Ifreecans Collective.

second to last post

From our inception in 2008, our wordpress blog has been used to catalogue our activities, growth, losses and adventures to present day. Change is good, and at present, it is becoming clear we have done all we could do with our blog using the wordpress format.

In 2012 ,we have an abundance of new. New logo, new projects, new ideas, new members [some of the old have gone their own way] and we are moving to a new blog format and a new blog address. We are also updating the BigCartel shop format and will add new products once they are ready. My hope is that this change will be evident, helping us attract a new fan base, while retaining the loyalty of the old. We have listened to what our customers/fans/followers asked for in regards to products, mailing lists and post and will strive to bring you not only what you asked for, but what we feel you deserve from us as creatives, and what we feel needs to be out there.

This blog will now be referred to fondly as our “I-CHIVES” in the hope that when one stumbles upon it, it can give them a History of the Ifreecans Collective. We found an interesting way or archiving everything we have done and hope the format is suitable. This is the second to last post that appear here, an announcement of our departure from WordPress. The last post will be an announcement of where to find us in our new stomping ground. I hope you will pay us a visit, it is coming soon.

vote hi-fi for v festival

Hi-Fi handles the music side of the ifreecans collective and they are making moves, need to see them and hear them live to feel their energy. Having performed at the Big Chill in 2008, they are looking to repeat their success at the V Festival and have a page up on [ONTHEOROADTOV.COM] and people can cast their vote, they are going under the name FLYPHONICS, the title of a show they also host via roundhouseradio. Have a looksee at the Flyphonics show via the link below and go show some love as well and vote for HI-FI to see them @

Greetings all. It has been a while since we posted anything up, but it has been busy times for the majority of the members of the collective, 2009 will be a great year. We held our first ever event in conjunction with Sidensi and St Mary’s Youth Club under the title “YES WE CAN: A CELEBRATION OF OUR ACHIEVEMENTS”. It was partly informed by the Inauguration of President Barack Obama as well as being an event where people get to appreciate ones self and cultivate a belief that anything is possible. The Ifreecans Collective was responsible for designing all promotional material as well as showcasing our artwork at the event. It was a worthwhile experience and hopefully the first of many. Here are the leaflets and tees that we designed for the event. If anyone is interested in a tee, we still have some left available at the hut of the Ifreecans, Camden Stables Market

feel the music

The music side of the ifreecans is represented by fidelismusicus or by hifidel&t as a duo. The combination of their production, lyrics, emceeing and singing makes them a fresh addition to the music scene and an essential addition to the ifreecans collective. For those who are yet to hear of them or make it to any of their gigs, check out their myspace page via the links for a taster from their demo “The Tape”.
